Academic Programs

Biomedical research is a multidisciplinary area, requiring committed human resource with science background and academic aspirations to opt for a research career. Quality students with varied science backgrounds are needed to sustain R&D activities in both research institutions and biomedical device industries. Currently there is a serious setback in obtaining candidates with research aptitude for Ph.D. programs and for R&D projects. Most of the students go directly into Ph.D program without understanding the required involvement and commitment for successful research outcome and for continuing with a research career. The programs at Dr. Moopen’s Medical College supported by Aster Research Foundation envisage induction of aspirants to research through a stepwise approach; Diploma can be followed by MS and further the Ph.D. program. The students will get options to stop after diploma, or after MS or complete Ph.D.
